We were asked to provide a quote for a topographic survey of a factory in November 2017, quoting separately for the main factory and three surrounding areas. After discussions regarding the client’s requirements and level of detail in the main factory area in particular, it was agreed that we would carry out the survey in two phases. The three surrounding areas would be carried out first and whilst there we could assess the final area to help provide a more accurate quote. The first visit was carried out by a team of two surveyors who spent four days on site. On acceptance of the quote for the second phase, our team returned to site for a further six days to survey the main factory. We have since been asked to return to site to carry out additional survey works on several internal areas.
